I Love Scott Pilgrim!
Alright, it might be a little creepy to be in your early thirties and proclaim your love for the 23-year-old protagonist of a series of Indie black-and-white graphic novels, but I am not ashamed.
I LOVE SCOTT PILGRIM!
I need to make a cool, Scott Pilgrim-inspired t-shirt, that’s what I need to do.
And if you’re too lazy to click on the link, here’s the synopsis stolen from Wikipedia: “The series is about 23-year-old Canadian Scott Pilgrim, a slacker, hero, wannabe-rockstar, who is living in Toronto and playing bass in the band “Sex Bob-Omb.” He falls in love with American delivery girl Ramona V. Flowers, but must defeat her seven “evil exes” in order to date her.”
I just re-read the first book yesterday and it reminded me how awesome these books are (and I’ve only read the first one). I mean, one of the band’s names is Clash at Demonhead, one of my favorite random NES games.
Book two is scheduled to be delivered by Amazon tomorrow, hopefully by a cute chick on rollerblades, but for me this series has officially become one of those things you’re afraid to read because you don’t want it to be over.
What am I saying?
Go buy the books!
NOW!
And thank me later.
